    Central in PCB construction

    De-smear systems play a central role in the production process of printed circuit boards. They carefully remove any residue that is created during the drilling of the plates. Caused by the thermal and mechanical stress on the starting material during drilling, these residues can impair the adhesion of the metal layer that will be applied later. The de-smear system cleans the base material and activates the borehole walls evenly. This ensures reliable preparation for the subsequent contacting of the conductive layers in the circuit board and lays the foundation for high-quality and functional printed circuit boards. 

    Optimising electrical properties

    De-smear plants combine chemical and physical processes. In a multi-stage process, they remove resin residues caused during drilling and prepare the base material for subsequent metallization. This is usually done by chemical treatment. The swelling of the resin forms the preliminary stage, whereby an oxidizing solution first roughens the borehole walls and then neutralizes them. An even and, above all, dense and homogeneous layer formation in the drill holes ensures better adhesion of the metal that will be applied later. This improves the surface structure of the bore in order to create electrical conductivity for the subsequent plating process. 

    Indispensable for high quality

    TSK design systems can be found in the production of complex printed circuit boards, for example in automotive, telecommunications and consumer electronics. Especially for multilayer PCBs, which consist of several layers, the de-smear technique is indispensable. It ensures that the different layers can be safely connected to each other by means of boreholes. The use of de-smear systems significantly increases reliability and performance in the subsequent through-hole process of the printed circuit boards. Every via, combined with the high quality requirements, therefore makes the de-smear process indispensable.

Precisely manufactured from TSK you get de-smear systems that deliver perfect results over the long term. 
    In addition to the de-smear machines and vias, we offer all common measurement and analysis methods to keep the chemistry as efficient as possible. These include area and piece counters, regeneration units and conductivity measurements. The regeneration cells to oxidize manganate back are integrated in the module sump and reduce leaks.  

    Continuously refine technologies

    For TSK, the state of the art is always only the basis and starting point for making further technological advances and refining technologies. In doing so, we always keep in mind that our systems are easy to maintain and robust in order to reliably maintain production. Resource conservation and environmental friendliness, wastewater-saving circuits, emissions into the air and noise emissions are just as important to us as the production quality for which the machines were designed. We support our customers in obtaining operator approvals for the processes on site.
